I'm about 95% sure that I have a peritonsillar abcsess, but I'm already on clindamycin. What should I do?

I've had tonsilitis for about 2 weeks now, and last time I had it, I got an abcsess too, which burst on its own in the middle of the night because for some reason my doctor couldn't see it. I have all the classic signs of a peritonsillar abcsess; my uvula is displaced to one side, the pain is radiating to my ear and jaw, I have redness and swelling near the tonsil, the lymph nodes on that side are swollen and tender, muffled voice, etc. I'm already on clindamycin, however. Will that take care of it, or do I still have to go see a doctor and get it drained?
