Sony CCD-FX620 is a really old camera! I need help viewing a tape on it!?

I have this very old handy cam and im trying to view a tape on it. does anyone no how to do so? the camera turns on i mean there are numbers flashing on the side but i can not record or view the tape. i know there is footage on it that we taped about 5 years ago. can anyone tell me what to do?
