Hi-8 cameras: digital or analog?

hi-8 was analog , it was captured by anolog image processing straight to tape through RGB , it wasnt 3ccd , it was just ccd , one image one process (not the 3 processed) the little silver drum had three lines around it , which picked up the RGB tracks as in the tape goes over the analog signal gets picked up by the drum , and then processed the image to your tv, hi-8 and vcr had similar methods
