How to become popular in a school you dont go to anymore?

I switched schools but i live in the next town over. A lot jocks in my old school like me and I thought that I should be friends with some of the girls too. Every sunday I go to ccd and a lot of them are there. In the summer i will try and hangout in my old town more, but i want to make friends in that town more.
