Ccd camera records 1:12 minutes and is 1GB?

so I took out my telescope and recorded a mostly black video of the moon last night, and it came out great, but the video is 1GB in size. I'm assuming that it is in some "raw" format that uses no compression. What is a FREE way to get this file compressed to something like under 30mb. I have to believe it can be done. the whole video is black and white and is under a minute and a half.
