What's better? A larger sensor with CCD or the smaller sensor with CMOS?

There's not THAT much difference in CCD and CMOS sensors. If I had to choose between the two that you mentioned, I would go for the larger CCD without hesitation, simply based on the size of the thing. If they were equal in size, I would probably choose the CMOS, because they run a little cooler (less noise) and are better for low light situaions.
